As my second maternity leave was coming to an end, I was dreading jumping back into the juggling routine that is pumping at work. Pumping comes with so many struggles, but I was particularly frustrated by the lack of professional clothes on the market that allow for easy pumping access. I wanted to wear dresses again without having to strip down to pump - sitting there freezing and worrying if someone might walk in (in spite of the sign on the door!) I wanted to look good in my post-baby body and not have to think twice when it was time to pump. That's why I founded Katie Jane Co.

Years of work went into perfecting these designs with pattern makers, while also sourcing the perfect fabric and finding a manufacturer. I hope these meticulously designed dresses help you feel confident when returning to work after maternity leave. I named the company Katie Jane after my two daughters' middle names: Kathryn and Jane, which were also my mom's and grandmothers' middle names. It is their strength that got me here and my daughters' future that drives me.
